Together We Stand is an anthology of queer elders’ stories, writing, and other media, created and published locally via Quirk-e in Vancouver. Quirk-e (QUeer Imaging & Riting Kollective for Elders) is a longstanding Vancouver writers’ group for LGBTQ2SA+ elders. This collection draws from writings by its twenty-two members and a selection of guest writers, writing and illustrating via various formats in memoirs, prose, poetry, graphica, and more. Showcasing works by many of the most prominent leaders, activists, and knowledge keepers in Vancouver’s queer community, this book is an important resource and gathering of voices that often go unheard.
